Finally, the day came when I visited Mr. Asahi during his nationwide tour at Sunway Giza!! I was in sheer amusement when I saw the way Mr.Asahi works and moves!! He even has lights flashing from his eyes!!! How cool it that?!?

Mr. Asahi is the world’s first robotic barman and the brainchild of Japanese brewer Asahi. He is capable of serving people in less than two minutes, saving the average person 13 minutes at the bar. In addition, he is also capable of pulling 300ml pints, opening bottles and can serve up to 16 half pints or bottles at a time. How I wish all bartender are as efficient as Mr.Asahi himself cause then, party goers wouldn’t have any problems getting their free flows at the bar!!

This nationwide tour is filled with excitement as they have their own dancers, a DJ and a customized truck that unfolds into a mini party-space!! Passerby can try out the refreshing Asahi draught poured by Mr. Asahi, enjoy the crispy popcorn and entertainment, and best part of all, stand a chance to win some cool prizes by participating in their games!!

After checking out Mr. Asahi at the roadshow, we adjourned to Movida for more Asahi beer!!

I would say I am still pretty fresh when it comes to hosting / emceeing and this is actually my first time hosting for a beauty contest-like event. I was indeed very excited when I received the call to host for the 1st audition of Super GT Queen Malaysia Search 2012 (something very different from the usual launches that I emceed for). I mean, I have entered a handful of beauty pageants before and I ONLY know how to feel all nervous and fidgety when I am being judged on stage (putting aside being the judge for a few competitions before). So this time, the roles have been switched! I get to interview the contestants, ask how are they feeling and witness their performances on stage!! That was quite thrilling for me!

So, during the audition, I can so tell that there were a few girls who were having butterflies in their stomachs. I mean, it’s only NORMAL and I have felt that way before! There was a girl who was pretty stunned on stage and totally lost her words during her self-introduction. I requested the audience to give her a big round of applause as a show of support…. BUT, the girl misinterpreted the message due to her fear. She thought the clap was a hint to get her off the stage (oh the horror!!!) and she literally made her way off the stage but I held her back because the audience and I didn’t mean it that way!!! But it’s all good because she was a little more calm after I gave her some words of encouragement and the crowd was really helpful too!!

There was another contestant who really caught my attention…. in a funny way!! I don’t mean to be mean but I think it was really funny…..

One of the judges asked this girl a question, ‘So, do you like cars?’.

and she replied, ‘Yes I love cars, I love fast cars a lot and I love TRANSFORMERS!!’.

The way she answered it was so innocent and cute! All I could do was just smile over her honest answer!

In a nutshell, hosting this event gave me a new kind of experience; what to expect and how to handle contestants who are having a nervous breakdown.

Early last month, I appeared as a special guest on Astro Supersport’s Football Overload (CH811 / 831). I was told that Joe Brooks, an upcoming singer will be in the show together with me and Nadia Lum (one of the finalists of FHM Girl Next Door 2013 Search). The singer’s name rings a bell, but I wasn’t very sure which song he sang. So I tweeted and asked about him (I know there’s a thing called ‘GOOGLE’ but I just feel like tweeting and I got prompt responses from my friends!)

So, Joe Brooks is a British singer/songwriter and a Myspace made famous musician (damn everyone’s getting famous by producing stuff on Myspace and Youtube, especially! I should start something too! ) One of Joe Brook’s songs that has been playing on the radio is ‘Holes Inside’ which is pretty nice (that was the only song that i knew before I appeared on the show with him. Of course, I have more of his songs on my laptop now! hehe).

What I enjoyed most being on Football Overload was getting up close and personal with Joe Brooks! He’s such a cutie!! And of course, I very much enjoyed the game section! We had guess-the-song, charades and draw specialist (it’s like Draw Something)! The games were very fun and engaging!! I had a ball of a time making a fool outta myself during Charades (it’s all recorded in the videos below! Please click to watch!)

Undoubtedly, this is one of the most-raved about events and what made it even more epic was the appearance of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes™ F1™ driver, Jenson Button. Every year without fail, I get all very excited when I receive my invitations from Johnnie Walker to party in VIP style. This year, it’s a lil’ different for me because I get to hold a giveaway for my blog readers to stand a chance to win 2 VIP tickets to the event, all thanks to the generosity of Johnnie Walker! Plus, I also get the opportunity to host on the read carpet and interview celebrities on behalf of Popcorn Studio! Guess who I managed to interview????…………Dominic Lau, E! News Asia host and the host of Black Circuit Lounge! I was star struck  and couldn’t believe it actually happened!! It didn’t end just there because after the event, Dominic followed me on Twitter when I mentioned him there!! *joyyyyy!!* #blondemoment.

Anyways, Johnnie Walker Black Circuit Lounge took place at a spacious modern venue within the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (MAEPS) on 21st March 2012. This event witnessed the attendance of over 1,500 A-listers and Johnnie Walker fans. The appearance of Jenson Button totally added spice and excitement to the event as a whole and to pledge to Never Drink and Drive (Johnnie Walker’s commitment in promoting responsible drinking), Button has signed the JOHNNIE WALKER_® “JoinThePact.com” signature wall, accompanied by Black Circuit Lounge hosts Dominic Lau, Thanuja Ananthan, Hannah Tan, and celebrities Alex Yoong and Leng Yein.

The JOHNNIE WALKER_® BLACK CIRCUIT LOUNGE started off on a high note when Miss Universe Malaysia 2010, DJ Nadine Ann took to stage her finely honed DJ-ing skills. They also have DJ Dim Sum, Smith Agent Smith and DJ politik who pumped up the atmosphere and got the audience jumping in ecstasy throughout the entire night!

To add icing to the cake, there was a special appearance of current World Champion Close-Up Magician Shawn Farquhar, flown in all the way from Canada, who mesmerized the guests and ME with crazy illusions!! My jaw literally dropped when I saw the tricks he made in front of my eyes!!

All in all, I had a fabulous time and look forward to Johnnie Walker’s next party! I also did something very crazy at the end of the night which I was so embarrassed about when I woke up and was all sober the next day!

If you guys know me personally, you’d realize that I am not a raver or a happening type of person who goes for every single major rave party! The closest rave concert I have ever been to was the Deadmau5′s concert which happened last year (if that was even considered a rave party! ). I consider myself a pretty ‘jakun’ person when it comes to all this!!

Initially, I wasn’t really keen on the idea of going to the Future Music Festival Asia, but my friends were telling me so much about it and how awesome are The Chemical Brothers and Cosmic Gate that I was psycho-ed to go (even though I don’t know any of their tracks)! Plus, the fact that Julian got me 2 free VIP passes that is worth RM388 each, I thought to myself, why not?

So, off I went with high expectations and I came back home ALL SATISFIED!! I am very sure that everyone who went for the event would feel that it was a great success! #FMFA2012 is probably the biggest music festival to ever hit South East Asia with the attendance of 30,000 people!! I am really proud that Malaysia managed to organize this event successfully (after the whole cancellation of Erykah Badu’s concert).

One word to sum up this event :  #DOPE!!!

Went for a quick shopping before the event and got myself a MAC Fluidline Backtrack Gel Eye Liner. It’s really easy to apply and it glides smoothly! Highly recommended! Selling only at RM72!

My dog ate my flip flop and I had no sandals to wear. So I got a new pair!!

Wore it to the music festival because I didn’t want to be jumping too much, trying to be taller than others to get better view of the performances!

If you’ve been following my blog religiously (even though I seldom update it!), you’d have realized that I love to play around with make up, a lot! (using different shades of eye shadow to match with my outfit). When I received an invitation to the Laura Mercier’s Kiosk Launch @ Sunway Pyramid, I quickly jumped at the oppurunity, as I always wanna learn more about make up and the techniques to hide the imperfections on my face.

I was donned in a shimmery green dress which didn’t quite go well with the theme of the event. All the ladies looked so sweet in pastel colour clothes and I felt a bit odd! Heee… anyways, It was quite a last minute thingy for me so I just picked whatever that I think will look nice on me!

The event was filled with many bloggers from MHB including myself!! There was a make up demonstration done by Jodi Riley (top Laura Mercier Global Makeup Artist from the United States) on how to achieve the spring look for this season. The goodies that I received was way too cute especially the panty-looking make up pouch!

One thing that I didn’t quite like about the event was the people who kept chatting away when the make up artist was explaining the techniques of make up on stage. It was really disrespectful to the make up artist… sigh… some ways of Malaysians are hard to change.

I am not married and I will not be getting married anytime soon. But I have worn several wedding gowns for the past few years due to work. Chinese Superstition has it that the more time you don a wedding gown, the lower the chances of your marriage will last. I for one DO NOT hope for that to happen!!! One of the perks of doing wedding shows is that I roughly get the idea of what type of hair, make up and wedding gowns that suit and flatter my body (I can use them as reference in the future for my BIG DAY!!)

Anyways, sometime in January 2012, I modeled for Aster Spring’s Wedding Preparation Show. This is actually the second time I’ve worked with this company and they are really nice people. The first time I worked with them was for their beauty salon’s print ad which appeared on magazines and also on their brochure.

Hey guys! So sorry for the lack of update! I just got back from Macau and Singapore and I have been insanely busy since. Imagine, I do not even have the time to update my online fashion store and all the new stocks has been lying in my house for a month, serving no purpose! As much as I hate to admit, I *think* I have become a workaholic (oh no!!!). But i’ll try my best to squeeze in some time to update you with my life and I’ll start off with an event that i attended almost a month ago (I sincerely would love to be a kiasu-and-the-first-to-post-about-an-event person but my hectic schedule just doesn’t allow me)!

Just a day before Valentine’s, I attended Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial Party. This event took place at the Centre Court of Pavilion KL to celebrate the launch of limited edition Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial “Tag Your Love” bottle pack. Honestly, this is definitely one of the events that I really enjoyed myself because I managed to catch up with so many friends that I hardly see. In addition, this was a cozy affair with the singer Poova belting out some evergreen ballads to entertain the crowd which makes the night even more intimate and enjoyable.
